General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Menopause can be associated with hot flashes but should not cause a significant decline in memory or cognition. There can be small memory changes but if it is very pronounced then other causes should be ruled out.

It is can sometimes also be associated with palpitations but again other causes are also considered as well such as thyroid disease, anemia or intrinsic heart disease.
An ECG and blood tests (thyroid function tests and full blood count) would be helpful.

You should consider seeing your doctor for an assessment.

I hope this helps
