What Causes Hot Flashes With Inflammation Of The Body?

what causes daily (around 5 in the morning) severe burning hot flashes over most of the body and must make me get up & tolerate these for as many sometimes as 4 hours & sometimes continues on into the day? I am 86 years old, I have had many test trying to identify the problem without success. all of my meds have been cleared as OK.

Hi,

In my opinion, you should get done serum vitamin B12 level and thyroid function test because vitamin B12 deficiency and thyroid diseases can cause similar symptoms. You may need vitamin B12 supplements if the deficiency is there.

If both these tests are normal then no need to worry much. Sometimes age-related changes in skin and cutaneous nerves can also cause similar symptoms. You can take Pregabalin tablet.
