I can understand your discomfort. Hot spells and cold spells can occur in different conditions. The common conditions are:
1.
generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) causes hot and cold spells due to excitation of nervous system.
2.
hypothyroidism due to decreased T3, T4 synthesis
3. side effect of medication due to interaction with body thermostatic system
4.
menopause due
hormonal imbalance.
To know the underlying cause, we have check for some factors like anxiety and recently used medicines, We have to check thyroid profile. It was very nice thing that you had checked your T3, T4 levels. But estimation of
TSH level is also very important for diagnosing hypothyroidism.
Coming to treatment part, you have to treat the underlying cause and symptoms as follows:
1. in case of hypothyroidism, you have to start thyroxine
2. for GAD you have to take psychotherapy
3. in case of medication, you have to use alternate medicines
4. drink more water
5. keep on shedding clothes frequently
In my opinion check for the cause and act accordingly. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
