Understanding your concern. As per your query you have hot flushes in between the hip and knee . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like osteoarthritis ,herniated disk, hormonal imbalance or sciatica . If you are female then it can also occur due to Perimenopause or menopausal effect . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon again for proper checkup . Doctor may order CT scan , nerve conduction test or MRI to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe drugs like noval MR , methotrexate , or nerve supplement. Doctor mat refer you to neurologist for nerve dysfunction or endocrinologist for hormonal imbalance .For now take proper rest and give proper rest to hip joint , apply warm compresses to hip and knee , do not walk fast and start its physical therapy .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
