Hello, I got an eardrum surgery on July 12 2017, I couldn t shower for a week after the surgery, and when I finally was going to take a shower I had to put some Vaseline on the cotton ball when I was going to shower, but a day after taking a shoerf and putting Vaseline on the cotton ball it just dried up all the blood that was bleeding in my ear and the dry blood covered my ear for a week the whole ear hole and I just finally had enough courage to take out the dry blood and when I did do that I now can hear very loud from my eardrum that had an surgery and can taste blood is that normal? But I can t afford to pay for an answer can you please help?
As per my clinical experience, there sounds some conduction defect through which you are having hyperacusis after tympanoplasty , in which condition there is alteration of perception of sound wave frequencies at the internal ear level.
I would strongly recommend you to undertake an audiometry with your surgeon and proceed for further guidelines ahead.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
