Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been on implanon for 2.5 years and experience hyperhydrosis. I thought this was caused from benzo withdrawal symptoms, as I went off of Ativan a few months before I got the implant. 2 years later I m wonder if it is still BWS or could it be implanon?
As per my clinical experience, the hyperhidrosis is not related to implanon implant. There must be autonomic dysfunction responsible for effects over the sebaceous glands or sweat glands leading to such issue. A primary evaluation with your primary care must be obtained for the same.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
