What Causes Hyperintensity At Grey- White Matter Junction Of Parietal Lobe?

I am a 49 year old female with chronic pain and fatigue x4-5 years. After requesting extensive bloodwork i have been found to have a low positive ana and ssb. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 5 years ago. Cymbalta worked for a while, but no longer helps. I am being treated by a rheumatologist for uctd with neurontin and methotrexate. I also have peripheral neuropathy. I also have a cyst or hemangioma 9mm on my liver ( I have Gilbert's Syndrome too) and a 3mm hyperintensity at the gray white matter junction of the left parietal lobe. My question is why would the 3mm find in my brain be of no clinical significance when I also suffer cognitive issues?
