Hello, I went to the urgent care two weeks ago because I noticed that only the left side of my face became hypersensitive to touch. It at times felt warm. There was no redness. I was told to see my neurologist. This began to move down my face. It has for the most part resolved at this time. Today I noticed a section on my lower left leg that is painful to touch. Just having my pant leg touch was uncomfortable. it looks slightly swollen. No redness. I do have an appt with my neurologist ( routine follow up visit for my migraines in Oct). I have not yet shared this new information with my doctor.. thoughts? Cyna
* As per my clinical experience, the hypersensitivity in face and legs indicate
- sensory involvement of hemispheric regions of the body due to certain ascending pathway affected through neurologic conditions
- lesions of brain parenchyma involving sensory or sensory association areas
* A detailed study of the physical examination with reflexes, touch, pain, temperature sensitivity are very vital to consider co relation with MRI brain and other reports.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
