What Causes Hypoglycemia After Taking Medrol For Sinusitis?

I just finished a Medrol pack for sinus problems. Am having hypoglycemia problems now. Saw my PC and she has ordered a FBS. Anything else that I need to do in the meantime. She said it could take several days to get this out of my system. Any suggestions??

Hi there! Medrol as in Methylprednisolone is known to cause 'Hyperglycemia' that is high sugars and not 'Hypoglycemia' which is low sugars. For what its worth get a FBS and PPBS done and if it is high get HbA1C which tells you the average blood sugar for the last 3 months.
In the meanwhile try to get some exercise - recommended is 30 min per day for 5 days in a week. Food wise- cutting down sugary stuff ,fatty stuff, soft drinks will help. go for green vegetables, fresh fruits and if you want meat then lean meat.
Hope this helps.
