Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I started to notice that I would get violently ill after consuming any amount of alcohol. Now, I ve noticed that I start to feel sick after consuming certain foods. I tried an antacid before drinking and that seemed to help a bit. I also feel more tired recently than I have in the past. Any suggestions?
It may be because certain food interactions with alcohol. Also, that gastritis or inflammation of stomach can make you feel nauseous etc after consuming alcohol and may get slight help with antacids. It's better to decrease intake and get ultrasound abdomen and liver function tests and if issue persists a gastroenterologist review and upper GI endoscopy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
