What Causes Imbalance In Legs And Pain In The Groin Area?

Hello doctors, I have had a laminectomy along with rods and screws inserted in the thoracic area of my spine. It was done because the neurosurgeon determined that if I did not have surgery right away I would become paralyzed. Years later another surgeon looked at my MRI and told me I had broken my back twice and I have severe stenosis among other problems. Right now I have a balance problem and my right hip hurts a lot when I walk. It also hurts in the groin area on the same leg. I walk very slowly. Do you have any idea what is going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
You seem to have right hip problem in addition to your spinal problems. It can be hip joint inflammation or pain &difficulty in movements due to neuromuscular problem arising from spinal nerve suplying hip & associated muscles.
You need to have imaging investigation (xray,MRI,CT scan) as per advisr of your orthipedic surgeon followed by management of the joint pain.
Till you meet the expert... you should take rest/ Brufen 400mg pills twice a day after food...&have some pain relief.
Thanks.
