General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Loss of balance is a common symptom of Parkinson's disease, and it can be persistent even with medication. In the case where your mother has been diagnosed with Parkinson disease, it rules out any other cause for loss of balance.

The medication helps in controlling the symptoms but does not eliminate it, hence it requires other supportive measures such as physical therapy and exercises to help with the posture and balance improvement. Make sure the medication are taken at regular intervals.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
