What Causes Immovable Lump On The Back Of Neck?

My name is Breeanne and I am 24, and I am generally healthy. Ok to my question... I have a soft lump that is immovable on the back of my neck just to the right of my cervical spine about an inch down from the base of my skull. I have been putting off going to the doctor and I have noticed it has become larger in size. I have had it for about 3 weeks now and isn t tender to touch. I haven t noticed feeling sick or anything besides the normal allergy symptoms. If I could just get some info on what it could be or caused by that s great. I plan on seeing my doctor in the next day or two. Thank you.

Hi,

You have to get FNAC of the swelling done to know the cause of swelling. After FNAC you have to show the report to any surgeon who will plan to remove the swelling.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anamika Gupta, Pathologist and Microbiologist
