What Causes Inability To Drink Water After A Barium Swallow?
I am worried because I have not been able to drink much water since having a swallowing CT scan - with not too much barium - a couple of days ago. Is it a problem if I can't poo yet and what can I do without being able to drink more than sips of water all day.
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe, it appears to be the erosion of the esophagus, due to barium. You may need to have treatment . I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment . He may prescribe, omeprazole, domperidone, and injection of gentamycin. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern if you are not able to drink the water after the dose of barium swallow then this could be due the stress level and anxiety but this would come around soon no need to worry about this, you would be able to drink the water soon, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
