What Causes Inability To Hold A Bowel Movement?

Hi My husband was feeling some uneasiness and went to pass motion where he was unable to sit so he says he lay down in the toilet and was unable to control the motion. Now he says he is feeling better. He doesn t want to go to the doctor till morning and wants to sleep. But I am concerned and want to know what can be the reason. Please help.

Inability to sit is a serious indication of disease, which cant be guessed by brief history you have given. Inability to control motion may be due to infection of colon(large intestine). If he does not want to go a doctor, he may pass motion in the bed and he may not sleep.Pl visit a Emergency Room right away.
