What Causes Increase In Bp After Started Taking Olmezest Beta?

I have been taking Seloken XL 25 x 2 for the last 1.5 years to control my BP. All was well and my BP was in the range of 120 / 75 and pulse around 75. But since the last 4 days my BP shot to 160 / 100 and pulse to 100. My doc has changed the medicine to Olmezest Beta 25 now. He says my body has become resistant to the old medicine. My question is is it safe to switchover and will there be any side effects due to this switchover from Seloken XL 25 to Olmezest Beta 25 ??

hi dearie there will be no side effect on switching over the medication. and he has just added olmesartan to metoprolol what you been taking perviously .
