What Causes Increase In The Severity Of Yeast Infection After Taking Monistat 3?

Hi. I took Amoxicillan 500 mg. 3 times daily for 5 days and then got this yeast infection.I stopped taking them . Took for a gum irritation after a tooth was pulled. The yeast infection has gotten worse after taking Monastat 3, Then went to clinic and the docter put me on Diflucan One yesterdays It s just over27 hrs. Got three sores. Want to know if sores are commons with this

As per your complain Yeast infection after taking antibiotics is a commonly seen finding and in case if you have an yeast infection then appearance of sores, redness or cracked skin is not an abnormal finding and you need not to worry about it..

You can continue taking Diflucan [Fluconazole ] which is a potent antifungal medication and along with it you can consult your doctor back and he ask him about topical application of antifungals like antifungal ointments containing Clotrimazole that can be applied over the affected area..
You should also keep the area dry and clean..
In case if the symptoms worsen or does not improve in 15 days you can consult your physician back and get re evaluated..
