General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Gestational diabetes/obesity in mother or genetic predisposition are factors that induce overweight in the fetus.
Induction of labor after the developmental maturity of fetus/LSCS in some cases is a line of managing the delivery. The treating obstetrician would assess & decide it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
