I have been farting a lot lately. Usually more at night after dinner. They are rather noxious and sometimes wake up my husband. I am healthy; eat reasonably well--we don't eat out, no fast food, good food-fruits veggies, etc ( I know fresh food probably produces more gas...) It is daily. I also have sleep apnea and sleep with a cpap. Don't know if this could cause me to swallow air. I do take simethicone tabs, but I don't know if taking them daily is ok. what to do? I'm 48 years/F/150lbs and work out 3x week. I teach high school English (no stress there--right...) Any help?
-Take Simethicone medicine. -Avoid chewing gum. -Limit your intake of carbonated drinks. -Avoid foods that cause gas, such vegetables in the cabbage family, dried beans, and lentils. -Eat slowly and avoid drinking through a straw. -Use lactose-free dairy products.
