What Causes Increased Heart Rate And Dizziness?

I recently began experiencing an heart arhythmia. sometimes my heart speeds up, slows stopsmbreifly causing dizziness. About a month ago I was hosptilized for a couple of days for a slow heart beat that was later determined to be caused by improper meds. I am now taking atenolol, .25mg/day, cvozaar, 25mg/day, atorvastin, and aspirin 430mg/day. When I go out of sinus rhythem and experience dizzy spells I take 50 mg of atenolol and it seems to help. However mys resting heart rate varies between 35 bpm and 60 bpm so I limit the atenolol to maintain a heart rate above 40 bpm. Are ther any meds available that will better control my heart rate. I will be seeing my cardiologist in about 10 days?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Consult a cardiologist and get evaluated. We have to rule out possible causes like cardiac arrhythmia and thyroid dysfunction. Detailed evaluation is required including serial ECG and echo test are required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
