What Causes Indentation Below The Knee Caps?

thank you very much. I am concerned about my tibia area. I was on my knees cleaning and when I stood up there was an indentation right under both knee caps about 2 1/2 inches long on the left leg and a little shorter on my right leg. It doesn t look normal and there isn t any pain. I haven t noticed it before.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it can be age-related bone resorption. However, X-ray or bone scan is better to be obtained alongside supplements for calcium, D3 and ossien mineral complexes.

It should be reviewed by an orthopaedic surgeon as painless bone changes need to be evaluated more seriously.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
