What Causes Indentation In The Middle Of Forehead?
Hello. I am 22 years old and yesterday a small indentation appeared in the middle of my forehead. It is about the size of a dime and a centimeter deep. No redness or bruising but came with a slight headache. It is visible and when I run my fingers over it it seems like my skull has an indentation. No trauma, I have not hit my head recently. What could this be from?
In such cases, when small indentation are appearing from nowhere in the middle of forehead associated with slight headache, I always send my patients for further examinations.
We want to determine whether this indentation is coming from the; - bones of skull? - or related to any internal (brain) problems appearing with swollen skull
At this point, I advise to run further investigative tests including: - physical examination by a neurologist - X-ray of the skull
For the moment, I advise to take OTC pain-killers for headache and possibly related inflammation.
All the best! Dr.Albana
