What Causes Indigestion And Left Abdominal Pain After Eating?

Pain, indigestion Ieft diaphragm area pain occurs about 30 min. After meal some relief with Zantac 150 .Pain goes from front to back at base of scapula 2nd occurrence in 2 days . No problem with cereal or toast milk,but meat and potatoes seems to set it off. Still have gall bladder, suppose to go on first time cruise Nov 4 Any suggestions , to make it through till we return to U.S..?

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You can have acute gastritis or small ulcer like condition leading pain...

USG done first for that and to true out any organic cause if present

You can take rabeprazole for two week...

Avoid excess spicy foods

Avoid smoking and non veg fried foods

Empirical rifaximine antibiotic can be given for bacterial overgrowth

Cooked oatmeal help in soothing

Drink hot water and fruits eaten more

If no improvement noted than endoscopy investigation can be done for further work up
