Hi,
Symptom provided by you points towards "water brash" most often encountered in people with GERD (
gastroesophageal reflux disease) characterized by a sour fluid or almost tasteless saliva in the mouth, and because the acis irritates the throat one may experience heart burn (
chest tightness, vomiting) in your case. In all probability you should consult a Medicine specialist or a Gastroenterologist to help alleviate your symptoms either through investigation (
endoscopy) or with medication (anatacids,
proton pump inhibitors), till then you can make certain dietary and lifestyle adjustments like:
- Eliminate fatty food from your diet.
- Try to maintain ideal body weight and remain active.
- Quit smoking, caffeine, carbonated drinks.
- Do not lie down, immediately after food, take small, non bulky meals.
- Head high position at night
- Bland and
soft diet, more of milk. Avoid hot drinks and spicy food, citrus fruits.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Munish Sood, Ayurveda Specialist
