What Causes Infected Earring Hole And Stomach Pain In A Child?
hi, my daughter is 8 years old and has a bad earing hole infection. her stomach has been hurting all day and started the day with a mild fever of 99.6. I have given her children Morten but her fever has been rising all day. she has been very lethargic and has the body aches now. Could this have anything to do with her earing hole infection? and what is the best way to clean and take care of the infection?
If the infection of the ear is very severe, it is possible that it would be associated with systemic side effects such as fever, lethargy and pain but these may also be linked to another concurrent infection.
The most common causes of fever, malaise, lethargy and pain in children is acute viral infection such as the cold or the flu.
These are treated by rest, fluids and pain killers but since it is not clear whether it is linked to the ear, she should be assessed.
If the infection of the ear lobe is very bad then it would be best for her to be seen for this as well. Mild ear lobe infections can be treated at home with antiseptics and topical antibiotics but oral antibiotics are needed in more severe cases.
I hope this helps
