What Causes Inflamed Red Eyes With Scaly White Patches?
Hi I have had scaly white patches and inflamed red eyes for close to six months now. I've been to two opthomologist, have taken liquid steroids and cream, does not seem to help. I used to have beautiful eyes, would get complimented on a regular basis, now I'm severely depressed about this condition. Can't even wear eye makeup. Is this a fungus and shoud I see a dermatologist. Thanks for reading:)
it can be tested by taking scrap on slide andstaingwith methylene blue. If fungal infection is confirmed then steroid is contraindicated. Oral anti fungal antibiotic can be given .1% micafungin eye drop Vozole eye drop engati eye drop can be considered. But it requires confirmation. if not consult dermatologist.
