What Causes Inflammation And Swelling In The Feet?
I have a place on the side (inside) of my foot that started out as kind of pink, puffy and slightly firm to touch. After a couple of days it is dark red, not as puffy but more firm. The dark red area is circular and about the size of a nickel. Beside this area is a smaller, pink, puffy and slightly firm area. It started out a bit itchy but isn t itchy now. It is a bit sore when I walk but not sore to the touch.

It could be minor inflammation.
As a first line management, you can take analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination for symptomatic relief.
Apply ice packs. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.
