What Causes Inflammation In Leg?

Hello, I went to my GP with slight inflammation in my lower right leg. She advised some blood tests which are all fine other than an ESR result of 24.This was repeated last week and it was 30.I am a 47 year old female in normally good health. I have had a cold and cough for a few weeks. Is this ESR result unusual

I understand your concern.
There are many reasons for elevated ESR. Inflammation anywhere in the body is a very common reason.
You have said that you are 47 yrs old female. As per your age and sex, ESR upto 26-28 should not be considered elevated. So there is nothing major unusual in it.
Slight increase in ESR may be due to cough & cold.
