What Causes Inflammation In Penis Despite Taking Antibiotics?

I have inflammation in my penis. I have been treated with multiple antibiotics in the recent past. I think there might be polyps as well that I can see. My urologist just did a ct scan on that area and says there is nothing wrong with me. It has a burn about it. Is there anything else I can do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Balanoposthitis is inflammation of both the glans penis and the foreskin. In case of any unusual discharge, swab may be required to identify any infections. Elevated blood sugar levels should be ruled out. In case of mass like growth, biopsy may be required to identify the cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
