Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I have read your post and understand your concern.
Fluorouracil cream could cause side effects namely skin irritation, burning, redness, dryness, pain, swelling, tenderness, or changes in skin color at the site of application.
To overcome it, you can take an antihistamine tablet like Levoceterizine once a day and locally apply moisturizer cream or lotion. Kindly avoid contact of the inflamed part with hot water and avoid exposure of the inflamed region to direct sunlight. Gradually, the symptoms should subside and your skin should be back to normal.
Hope the information provided helps.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.
