What Causes Inflammation On The Inner Thigh Despite Using Fluticasone For Dermatitis?
My daughter has inflammation on her inner thighs and panty-line area. She is 8 years old. Her regular paed told that she has dermatitis and prescribed Flutibact cream. She gets relief but the symptoms are back as she commutes in a congested van to school at noon time for almost 3 hrs in Indian hot and humid condition with no AC. She takes bath twice daily....at night /early morning and after coming from school. Please advice me what to do ....Her sleepless painful nights are taking toll on her health and studies. Wish I could upload pics taken at the time of infammation...which usually occurs at bedtime when no doctor is available. In daytime the place looks normal. Sometimes it looks as if some insect has crawled on that place....then it disappears. Please help Im very stressed.
The symptoms of your daughter seem to be related to a fungal infection. I suggest to use an anti fungal cream for local application such as Clotrimazole cream. I also suggest to use cotton loose underwear to prevent sweating.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
