What Causes Inner Labia Thickening And Blocked Clitoris After Suffering From Lichen Sclerosus?
Hi, I have had lichensleroris for about 30 years.ihave genital changes ad I have no inner labia, it has thickened and flattened, rather like a toddlers vaginas might look. I my clitoris has gone, its just all closed up and I have a tiny opening too pee from, im worried it will close completely and I will not be able to pee. It s stayed the same now for quite a few years. What do you think
Since you have a history of suffering from lichen sclerosus, you should have got it treated completely. Since you are having complications you should take antihistamines at bed time and apply hydrocortisone cream or tacrolimus ointment on the area affected to ease discomfort. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, neglect may lead to constipation, urinary retention, painful sex, etc.
You will be given conservative treatment, ultraviolet light therapy or may be recommended surgery by your treating doctor. Stay away from addictions if any. Avoid sex for a couple of days while you are being treated. Take care of your hygiene.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
