What Causes Insomnia Along With Fatigue And Appetite Loss?

Hello, I am asking for your help in identifying what could be causing the following symptoms in my 61 year old, white, brother. He has been feeling poorly for about 10 days and we are unable to determine the problem. Loss of sleep (wakes frequently during the night or even naps), fatigue, loss of appetite, occasional nausea, increased blood pressure. Has stopped taking medication for blood pressure per doctor s direction. Went to hospital with low heart rate and vomiting 4 days ago. Blood work showed only low sodium, but that is back to normal now.

From what you told in your story, I think that the best explanation could be depression. All these symptoms and signs are found among depressed people, including problems of the digestive tract.
Therefore, I recommend you to see a doctor (a psychologist, for example) in order to determine the health condition of your brother and proceed with the appropriate treatment.
