Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I believe I have RLS. It s driving me crazy and very difficult to sleep as I want to keep moving/stretching my legs. I see that depression meds can do this. I have been diagnosed with PDA (profound depression and anxiety. AS well, I have a recurrent menigioma. 3rd but experimental chemo has kept it at a livable size for almost 17 years. I take: lamotroginr, sertraline and risperadone (most recent ones), small amount of .5 zanax ND 5.325 of hydrocodone for headaches. Do you think this is the problem and PLEASE what can I do to stop this?
We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, you need to review your primary care physician and get yourself examined as extrapyramidal side effects or dependence can cause serotonin syndrome which may also cause such symptoms.
Other drugs like fluoxetine or duloxetine with monitoring may be started instead. Supplements for calcium D3 B12 and folic acid may also be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
