Hi,
Since the difficulty sleeping is related to
anxiety and stress over different issues, the key would be reducing your anxiety/stress. This would then improve your sleep pattern. Reducing anxiety can be done in different ways:
(1)
relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation
(2) before bed, writing down any problems that you may be facing and possible solutions to them
(3) medication- the temporary use of meds such as xanax or
lorazepam that would help you sleep plus have some small anxiety reducing effect, may be helpful
(4) other sleep aids can be used if this is not effective such as
ambien, imovane, lunesta
(5) antihistamines such as
dramamine also help with sleep in some person
