Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Insomnia, Headache And Joint Pain While On Trazodone, Diclofenac And Paroxetine?
I am currently taking Trazodone, Baclofen, Diclofenac, Paroxetine and Amlopidine at bedtime and feel lousy! Difficult to wake up or insomnia. headache all day. no relief of the joint pain. I fall asleep during the day for no reason... almost like narcolepsy but not as severe. Is there something in this combination that may be affecting me negatively?
It is due to drug interactions. Taking baclofen together with trazodone and paroxetine increases the side effects such as extreme drowsiness, confusion, difficulty concentrating, imbalance and falls which can cause trivial injuries. These side effects can be prevented either by dose reductions of the involved medications or by using effective alternatives but safer medications.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
