What Causes Insomnia While On Promethazine, Codeine And Sotalol?
I am taking Promethazine VC with Codeine Syrup for cough at night. I take one dose at bedtime The dosage I am taking is 10ML. I am currently experiencing Insomnia. I am also taking 160 mg of Sotelol twice a day for heart arithimea, could this cause insomnia?

Sotalol may cause insomnia or REM sleep due to drug lipophilic which may cross the blood-brain barrier. Better to take alternative drug or use benzodiazepines for sleep induction.
