What Causes Insomnia While On Valium?
Husband taking .5 mg of valium morning and evening for depression. Has 4 heart stents. 2nd day. Unable to sleep naturally but unable to fully wake up. Says he feels anaesthetized. Given a little cola but went immediately back to sleep and moans slightly in his sleep. Should I let him sleep or walk him like for a drug overdose?

Dera valium may not cause insomnia. he can take valium to improve sleep or anxiety.
But in the case of depression, he may need to take antidepressants also. A warm bath before bed, taking a low dose of melatonin tablet with lukewarm milk may aid in sleep.
If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
