I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, drugs that affect the brain are the ones to cause
insomnia. This includes common anti-depressants such as
Prozac does this in at least 10% of those taking it. Stimulants also can do this, and this includes
Adderall drug of course, but also drugs used for
asthma.
Steroids would be included in this list.
In addition, there are a wide variety of non-drug reasons for insomnia such as poor sleeping habits, poor environment and a lot of psychological conditions.
In addition, removal of factors is one of the most common causes of insomnia. Decreased use of alcohol, narcotics, or stopping any sedative usually causes insomnia.
