What Causes Intense Body Aches Along With Sinus Pressure Below The Eyes?

I ache all over. Sinus pressure below eyes. Cough. Cough drops work. 101F fever. Yesterday fever went up to 99.6f, then down to 98.4f last night. Today 98.4f at 8am. Now 101f. Is this just something I need to tough out? I just took 2 Advil. Using saline in nose often. Earlier today, left eye area hurt when I coughed. Took aspirin. Seemed to help with that.

Hello,

I can understand your concern. It seems that you are suffering from bacterial infection in your sinus. Saline wash, cough drops and painkillers will surely help you to relieve symptoms but you need to do a course of antibiotics to eliminate the infection.

You can Azithromycin 500 mg ( Azee 500) once a day for 3 days. You can also take an antihistamine Levocetrizine 5 mg (Levocet) once a day for 5 days. You will feel better after this.

If you do not feel better after 5 days, you may have to go for physical examination by a physician and a blood test (complete blood count).

I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I hope you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
