What Causes Intense Contractions In Uterus During 6 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
Hi, I am six weeks pregnant right now. Myself and my partner had sex last night then straight after I experienced intense cramps/contractions in my uterus which lasted around five minutes. Is this normal? Is it harmful to my baby? Should I avoid sex for a while? And if it s normal will inexperience this all the way through my pregnancy? Thanks, Larissa

It is usually advised to avoid sex during first and last trimester of pregnancy as it may sometimes causes miscarriage. If the cramps are associated with any bleeding then you should be alarmed you usually don't
get any cramps in early pregnancy, they do occur in later stages of pregnancy.
