What Causes Intense Left-sided Abdominal Pain After Gall Bladder Removal?
Just had gall bladder removed along with three inches of my liver with laparoscopic surgery. I have pain on the upper left side of my belly. It s warm to the touch. The pain can be severe. It s like a stabbing, burning, ripping feeling. It happens with movement. I cannot sleep on either of my sides. I also have this heavy pushing feeling when I m breathing like there s something pushing on my diaphragm. Is this all normal post op?

What Causes Intense Left-sided Abdominal Pain After Gall Bladder Removal?
Hi, As a first line management you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
