Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Intense Muscle Spasms And Jerks Throughout Body, Tremors And Flu?
I ve been having intense muscle spasms and jerks, overall body achyness, shaking, flu like symptoms that come in short spells. Three of these events have happened in the last 6 weeks and are relieved by Tylenol and an extreme sweat. I don t have a fever during these spells. Getting kinda worried!
As per my clinical experience, the extreme sweating does indicate possible systemic disturbance of inflammatory response most likely. The raised levels of cytokines and interleukins do favor sweating via autonomic dysregulation and at times, the temperature regulating thermostat mechanism of hypothalamus may not provoke body temperature raise.
It is best recommended to consult your primary care and get further assistance as this may require a blood test as complete hemogram for better management guidelines.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
