What Causes Intense Pain And Swelling In Knee?

the inside of my knee swells and hurts to touch it... feels bruised.... I had an exray but the bones were fine... not sure whats wrong... when I wake up its not swollen... I tried going for a walk today and got really sharp piercing pain near my knee cap felt like my knee was going to give out.... the piercing pain would come and go... I am about 25 pounds over weight... would this cause this to happen??

Hello there! Thank you for writing us here.
Your symptoms shows you're having arthritis. Maybe a CT scan would show the reports and the diagnosis. But its for your satisfaction if you want to have a CT done of your knee. I would suggest home remedies like knee exercises like slow and smooth movements but don't stress your knee. And also you can go for medicines for pain. Best one is paracetamol. Don't strain your knees and also don't stand till long hours. Have some rest and have your medicines if you feel any pain. You'll be better in a couple of weeks.
