Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had urinary problems in late March and late April. The first time I was in intense pain when I saw my Dr. Malagon in Clinton. He gave me an injection and prescribed drugs. Things calmed down fairly quickly. About a month later the same thing hit me and on a Sunday I went to the UT hospital emergency office. The did essentially the same determination. Gave me a injection the same as Dr. Malagon and prescribed drugs which were different that what Dr. Malagon prescribed. Each time I felt better in a short number of hours and days. I have been told my Dr. Malagon that I need to see a specialist. I am 72 years old and have a few problems. Let me know if I need to see one of your specialist.
After going through your medical details I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that considering your age prostate enlargement can be a cause of painful urination and recurrent UTIs.
