Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be due to pericardial effusion, pericarditis, myocardial infarction, aortic aneurysm or muscle pain. As you had undergone a CT of the chest, I have ruled out any lung causes. CT should have diagnosed any pericardial causes if present.

Sometimes, 2d echo can miss pericardial causes. But as you have had a battery of investigations, my advise is to meet a cardiologist once. If your pain doesn't subside with pain medications, then it might be a serious one. If it subsides, it's due to muscle strain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
