I have very intense abdominal wall pain that started gradually over several hours last night and continues today. I have a positive Cornetts test,my pain intensifies greatly when going from a supine to a sitting position. I have clear bowel sounds, heart rate and blood pressure are normal, no change in bowel or bladder habits, no jaundice. Pain is widespread and central from lower sternum to pelvic region radiating over rectus abdominis region, somewhat relieved by heat and lying down ... does this sound like anything that s emergency in nature or can I wait to be seen by my internist after the holidays?
