What Causes Intense Pain On The Left Side Of The Abdomen?

I have had a pain in my left side lower stomach for about 18 hours first it was a dull pain but as the day went on its got worse its like stabbing pains every now and again. I have been to the toilet for a number 2 twice and a pee at least 4 times with out any discomfort

This is probably a colon infection called diverticulitis and it requires a course of antibiotics so you need to see a doctor right away
