What Causes Intense Pain, Swelling And Drainage From Eyes?

I have pain, redness and swelling of my eyes with lots of drainage. I went to doctor on Friday and was told I had pink eye and was given Sulfacetamide eye drops. I have used theses as prescribed but pain is worse and I now see multicolor circle around light when I when outside tonight. I have low grade fever (100.5), headache and eye pain is worse/ I also have stiff joints in hands and painful back. I have ;pts of nasal congestion. What do you think

Hi..Can understand your concern..As per your query about intense pain,redness and drainage from eyes can be a infection like conjunctivitis.Sometimes they do not respond to specific antibiotic..You need to consult you Ophthalmologist for change in medications.Since you are also having fever,headache,body ache and nasal congestion it seems that you have got viral fever for which you need to take antibiotic like amoxicillin and analgesic like paracetamol.I hope it will give you relief and information going to help you.Take care.
