What Causes Intense Pain When My Father Moves His Body?

My 82 yr old father, had knee replacement 3 months ago, he's been bedridden since. He wont even feed himself, nor drink. We feed him, put the straw in his mouth to drink, wash him, etc... Whenever we move him to clean him he complaints that the pain is too intense. The doctors don't understand what's going on, all his vitals are good, blood work and urine test are normal. I keep asking him, what does his knee has to do with his inability to use or move his arms and hands. Can he be making himself more sick than what he really is

brief answer : the pain is due to the remodeling of the bone to the stiff metal due to knee replacement

detailed answer: when knee replacement surgery is done, a part of the bone is excised and a new metal implant is put in the place .this metal plate is more stiffer than the bone .so the bones near by has to remodel itself accordingly.
because of this this remodeling pain occurs
he pain depends upon the quality of the bone and its stress in the joint
and not because of the surgery
hope this explains
with regards
